Challenge
Vangtat Mining sought to establish a laboratory for the analysis of their minerals but lacked expertise in setting up a well-equipped facility. It was crucial for DKSH to expedite the lab’s readiness to ensure a smooth and timely installation of the necessary equipment.
Additionally, the remote location of Vangtat Mining’s site in the dense southern forests of Laos presented significant logistical challenges, particularly in providing timely equipment servicing.
Approach
As Agilent’s distributor, we oversee lab preparation to ensure proper equipment installation and optimal functionality, mitigating potential delays.
We provided comprehensive rare earth element analysis solutions for the gold mine called ICP-MS. We did not only supply the equipment, but also did the installation, and training, along with preventive maintenance.
Furthermore, as a local company, DKSH could ensure swift and efficient support to address any issues promptly and effectively. This approach not only saves valuable time for our customers but also mitigates potential disruptions to their operations.
Result
With DKSH’s support, the lab was able to ensure timely and efficient installation of the necessary equipment. This allowed for the laboratory to be fully equipped with instruments tailored for their specific testing requirements. As a result, they are now able to conduct effective and accurate elemental analysis.
In addition, DKSH’s attention to detail during the on-site setup of equipment ensured that each piece was ideally positioned, optimizing the lab’s overall operational efficiency.
We are satisfied regarding the readiness of the equipment that analyses at low concentration, there have been no issues, and the instrument can analyze all elements i.e. Au, Ag, Cu, etc. One more important thing is that ICP-MS can detect mass of elements very well.
