Cancer Science Institute of Singapore (CSI) is a state-of-the-art university research institute hosted at the National University of Singapore. It aims to position Singapore as a global leader in the field of biomedical sciences, extending from basic cancer studies to experimental therapeutics and in so doing improve cancer treatment in Asia.
Challenge
Our customer was setting up a new research team to study T and B cells of the immune system that are essential in fighting against infection-causing “foreign” pathogens, cancer, and autoimmunity systems. The long-term goal is to harness immune-based strategies to help alleviate disease outcomes.
They required over 40 different types of plasticware tailor-made to their application. Rather than sourcing from several different vendors, they needed a partner who could provide them with all the required equipment.
Approach
After attaining a thorough understanding of CSI’s specific requirements and the goals of their new research team, we recommended the customer a comprehensive range of consumables specifically suited for their cancer research needs. The consumables included centrifuge tubes, PCR plates, cell culture plates, cell culture flasks, petri dishes, and cryogenic vials.

The customer was extremely impressed with our extensive product range and our team’s fast and responsive customer service.
Although CSI’s initial need was only for pipettes and tips, the customer ultimately purchased 80 boxes of various consumables, reflecting their satisfaction and trust in our sales and services.
