Enhanced Therapeutic Labs Keep Australians Healthier and Safer
DKSH’s laboratory information management systems from LabVantage Solution was the final piece of the puzzle to ensure that one of Australia’s leading Government Health Organization can keep up with the rapidly evolving market demand.
Our customer is Australia’s leading government authority responsible for evaluating, assessing, and monitoring products that are defined as therapeutic goods. They regulate medicines, medical devices, and biologicals to help Australians stay healthy and safe.
Challenge
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, laboratories in the market are in greater demand than ever and are seeking more efficient ways of working with digitalization and sustainability as the two key themes driving their enhancements.
Similarly, our customer was keen to go paperless and apply digitalization in their existing labs to substantially increase the operations and efficiency of their labs. As they were not utilizing any Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) before this, they required a new solution. However, they were looking at one that would not require complicated coding or customization to suit their needs.
Approach
While one of the main requirements of the customer was to have an easily implementable solution, the system must also be highly configurable and highly flexible for future needs of the lab. LabVantage Solution’s LIMS systems readily offered the best choice for our customer.
A key benefit of our proposed system was the minimal need for complex coding to meet the lab’s requirements. During our demonstration and technical briefings, we were able to prove that the system offered the best flexibility and was highly configurable to the various scenarios and applications performed by the lab.
Result
The installation of the new LIMS software is expected to enhance the overall productivity and improve the efficiency of the labs. Although the project was initially focused on upgrading one lab, the customer has now decided to work with DKSH to roll out the solution to over 14 labs across Australia.
