Circulation Chillers Keep Vaccine Manufacturing Going During COVID-19 Pandemic in Vietnam
Lauda’s circulation chiller solutions helped ensured that medicine and vaccine manufacturer VinBioCare was able to stay operational throughout the COVID-19 pandemic in Vietnam.
VinBioCare Biotechnology is a pharmaceutical company focusing on medicine and vaccine production for the Vietnam market. The corporation is also Vietnam’s first producer of real-time PCR test kit for SARS-CoV-2 and currently supplies to over 90 percent of healthcare centers throughout the market. It is part of Vingroup, a leading conglomerate in Vietnam focusing on technology, real estate development, retail, healthcare, and hospitality services.
Challenge
The biggest challenge for our customer was the travel lockdown and movement restrictions in place during the pandemic, making timely delivery of vaccine a huge problem. As the products were time-sensitive, we had to come up with new ways to meet delivery requirements while keeping the vaccines safe.
Approach
Due to the intricate delivery and storage needs of vaccines, it was necessary to have the right circulation chillers in place. We believed that the Lauda Variocool circulation chillers were the ideal solution for our customer.
The VC 3000 W is suited for variable use in laboratory, mini-plant, and production for temperatures from -20 up to 40° Celsius. It offers a broad performance spectrum for demanding temperature control tasks. Benefits include electronic expansion valves that help to reduce energy consumption and operating cost, saves valuable laboratory space, a color TFT display screen that allows easy operation, an electronic fill gauge and low-level alarm that ensures early detection of insufficient fluid and flexible customization to all major applications.

Result
We supplied and supported the installation of eight units of the VC 3000 W for the customer to integrate with their existing production lines.
