DKSH stood out not just for being an experienced and proven supplier of life science research consumables for The Medical City’s Biomedical Research Laboratories in the Philippines, but also as an advocator for future innovations in the market.

The Medical City (TMC) is the largest healthcare network in the Philippines comprising provincial hospitals as well as more than 50 clinics in Metro Manila and in various provinces. TMC serves more than 50,000 inpatients and 500,000 outpatients a year.

TMC’s Biomedical Research Laboratories (BRU Labs) support anyone wanting to carry out biomedical research including mammalian tissue culture, cell imaging, microplate bioassay screening, 3D printing, bioprinting, microbiological assays, chemical analysis, and biobanking of clinical samples.

Challenge

Our customer was looking specifically for ibidi consumables, which were essential items for their life science research work. These consumables included 96 well microplates, centrifuge tubes, and petri dishes. However, they had difficulties finding an experienced and a reliable supplier for these items in the market.

Approach

We started by conducting thorough discussions with BRU Labs on their immediate requirements for life science research and on what the lab will need to accelerate their future healthcare innovations.

Life science consumables represent products in the lab that are specifically designed to support the study of living things, often with nucleic acids or proteins as a target or probe. Among the solutions we offered included life science consumables for their 3D-bioprinting, bioanalytical chemistry, and omics research.

Result

Aside from receiving all the consumables they needed for the BRU Labs, our customer now has a better understanding of DKSH’s complete offerings for life science products in the market.

We are glad to have worked with DKSH as they showed that they truly understood our needs for the life science consumables. They also helped us plan for our labs’ future requirements.
